Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET) according to BBM/Nielsen for Feb. 2 – 8, 2009:
Monday: House on Global at 8 pm was the most-watched program for the third week in a row with 2.883 million viewers. (It had a smaller audience of 2.425 million viewers the previous week.)
Tuesday: American Idol at 8 pm on CTV took the top spot again, albeit with 2.296 million viewers. (The reality show was the most-watched program the previous week with an audience of 2.046 million.)
Wednesday: American Idol on CTV at 8 pm remains a hit with 2.418 million viewers. (It was also last week’s most popular mid-week show with an audience of 2.335 million.)
Thursday: Grey’s Anatomy on CTV at 9 pm knocked out CSI with 2.306 million viewers. (The crime drama was most-watched the previous week with 3.188 million viewers.)
Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm was the highest-rated for the day with 1.323 million viewers. (It also had the highest ratings the previous Friday, but with 1.417 million viewers.)
Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada on CBC at 7 pm scores again with 1.372 million viewers. (The iconic show was the most-watched the previous week with 1.284 million viewers.)
Sunday: The 51st annual Grammy Awards on CTV at 8 pm were a lively event, attracting 1.592 million viewers. (CTV’s broadcast of the NFL Super Bowl was the highest-rated with 3.602 million viewers – a smaller audience share when compared to last year, with 4.234 million.)
