American Idol holds steady in second place.

Here are the national champs (for all persons 2+; all times ET) according to BBM/Nielsen for Feb. 9 – 15, 2009:

Monday: CSI Miami on CTV at 10 pm attracted the largest audience with 1.71 million viewers. (It replaces Global’s House, which was the most-watched program the previous week with 2.883 million viewers.)

Tuesday: American Idol at 8 pm on CTV took the top spot again with a similar audience size of 2.286 million. (The reality show was the most-watched program the previous week with 2.296 million viewers.)

Wednesday: American Idol results show on CTV at 8 pm remains a hit with 2.249 million viewers. (It was also last week’s most popular mid-week show with an audience of 2.418 million.)

Thursday: Grey’s Anatomy on CTV at 9 pm stays on top with 2.300 million viewers. (The hospital drama was most-watched the previous week with 2.306 million viewers.)

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 pm was the highest-rated for the day with 1.382 million viewers. (It was also most popular the previous Friday with 1.323 million viewers.)

Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada on CBC at 7 pm skates on thinner ice with 988,000 viewers. (The show was the most-watched the previous week with 1.372 million viewers.)

Sunday: Amazing Race 14 on CTV at 8 pm runs to the top with 1.959 million viewers. (The 51st annual Grammy Awards were the most-watched the previous week with 1.592 million viewers.)
