CTV’s CHUM Radio has just announced the elimination of 40 positions, 17 of which will be terminated, with 23 remaining vacant.
In a release, CHUM Radio president Chris Gordon, like many execs in these days, attributed the decision to a decline in ad revs due to the economy.
Effective immediately, the staff reductions will impact stations in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, London, Toronto, Peterborough/Lindsay, Ottawa and Montreal.
