The Bachelorette gets interactive, Citytv-style

A new microsite gives The Bachelorette fans a new level of interaction through live blogs, chats, weekly polls and an online fantasy pool. And advertisers can have their say too.

Citytv is giving its viewers a new way to engage with The Bachelorette through interactive activities on its new series microsite, launched this week. Audiences of the weekly two-hour show targeting the 18-to-34 demo can have their say online through weekly poll questions, take a shot at predicting the last bachelor standing with a pool and play for weekly and grand prizes.

Ad opps on the site include sponsorship of the weekly poll question and title sponsorship of the online pool and of the live blog, which can also include video postings during the live chat, as well as standard ad units.

The Bachelorette, a simulcast with ABC in the US, launches this Monday at 9 pm with 11 eps airing 8 to 10 pm weekly thereafter on Citytv.
