History Television has picked up a new documentary series, Greatest Tank Battles.

Setting sights on the 25-to-54 demo, the new military series recounts history’s greatest armored battles through the eyes of the very soldiers who were there, with 10 hour-long eps shot on location in Belgium, Germany, Russia, France, Russia, France, Israel, Egypt, the UK and the US, featuring a mix of eyewitness accounts, archival footage and CGI animation.

The series will launch in Canada on History Television in January, and on Discovery’s Military Channel in the US in July 2010.
