Corus Entertainment has revealed July programming highlights for its women’s specialty stations, which include two new series with designer brand opportunities.
Viva is introducing its all-new show Healthy Gourmet on July 4 at 7:30 pm. The 13-ep, half-hour show follows nutritionists Julie Daniluk and Ezra Title as they try to help people find the right balance between healthy food and tasty food. Sponsorship opportunities include five-second billboards, customized closed captioning, TV spots and on-air promotions that blend the station message with the sponsor message and contesting. Viva targets women 35 to 64, and is available in 5 million households.
The Canadian network debut of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy (UK edition) will take place on Cosmopolitan TV on Friday, July 10 at 8 pm. The 20-ep, hour-long program features five gurus who lend a hand to fashion-challenged men. Cosmo TV targets women 18 to 34 and is available in 3.9 million households (which apparently contain men who need fashion intervention).
The network is also developing some catwalk roles for brands within its Model Mondays block of programming. Every Monday at 8, beginning July 13, the network will air The Fashion Show, Models NYC and Charlotte and Jordan: Runway to LA. The sponsorship will include billboards, customized closed captioning, on-air promotional spots, 30-second TV spots and customizable on-air quizzes between shows.
