Heard of a little phenom called Twilight? Well, it’s coming to teen-targeted virtual world Habbo, thanks to a new partnership with Summit Entertainment.
The exclusive global deal will put the Twilight saga on Habbo’s online hub this fall, timed to launch in tandem with the release of New Moon on Nov. 20. Holding the licensing rights for virtual furniture and accessories for the Twilight film series, Habbo is creating a New Moon-themed virtual space for its 31 communities across the globe. More than 142 million characters have been created at Habbo.com, and they’ll all have access to Twilight virtual goods to decorate their online rooms, as well as the opportunity to interact with other Twi-hards in forthcoming movie-branded rooms with new movie-related virtual items, activities and polls.
Habbo is the largest virtual world and online community for teenagers, and offers ad and sponsorship opps ranging from IAB ad units to custom in-game programs. And if you wondered what the Canadian Habbos are into, according to the site’s tag cloud today it’s: Canada, cool, dogs, friends, fun, games, habbo, hot, love, meditate, music, party, pizza, relaxation, soccer, spa, summer, trade and Twilight.
