BC Hydro will keep the electricity flowing for three more years in its relationship with the Vancouver office of DDB.
The agency announced yesterday that it has signed a three-year contact as AOR for its BC Hydro and Power Smart brands. The agency will continue to handle advertising and digital communications, while continuing to work with OMD Vancouver on a sub-contractual basis for media planning and buying. The contract was signed after a four-month agency review.
The estimated annual spend for the account is $8 to $10 million a year.
‘We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with DDB,’ Cynthia Dyson, director of marketing and brand strategy for BC Hydro, said in a release. ‘They have been instrumental to the growth of our brands in the marketplace. Their work has supported BC Hydro’s overall goal of building a conservation culture in BC through our Power Smart program.’
DDB has worked with BC Hydro as its AOR since 2006.
