Teletoon Canada has unveiled its zany lineup of shows for the fall season, filled with vampire babysitters and edgy matchmakers.
New shows on the Teletoon grid include Thursday’s Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated at 6 p.m., Skatoony, a game show which mixes live-action kid participation with animated guests and hosts, at 6:30 p.m. and Total Drama World Tour at 8 p.m. Skatoony is produced by Toronto-based Marblemedia, and executive producer Mark Bishop tells MiC that it will feature integration with Via Rail.
‘We integrated questions around Via Rail’s brand values and key messages into the series,’ he describes. ‘For example, in one episode, the first round, ‘Bang on or Bogus,’ asks contestants a multiple choice question, which in this case will be: How many kilometres of Via Rail line cover the Canadian landscape?’
Returning to the channel are Star Wars: The Clone Wars on Fridays at 8:30 p.m., Ben 10: Ultimate Alien on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and a new season of Johnny Test on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
Teletoon at Night, the channel’s late-night programming block, will feature two new programs as well, Marblemedia’s The Dating Guy – which Bishop pitched to a fierce panel of judges in the Dragon’s Den session at the 2010 Canadian Media Directors Conference in April – on Sunday at 10 p.m. and Archer right afterwards at 10:30 p.m.
Teletoon will also feature its first live-action movie this fall, My Babysitter’s a Vampire.
