Rogers Communications has made a deal with Astral to offer more content to its subscribers.

The agreement gives Rogers customers the opportunity to watch TMN, HBO Canada, Mpix, Family Channel and Playhouse Disney shows on demand and online. The new services are free for customers who already subscribe to the channels as part of their digital packages.

Playhouse Disney will be joining the Rogers lineup for the first time. It offers first-run programs from Disney, as well as some Canadian favourites.

TMN, HBO Canada and Mpix will be online immediately. Playhouse Disney will be released for linear service, on demand service and online by the end of the month, and the Family Channel will be available online and on Rogers on Demand this fall.
