Big Brother 12 reclaims top spot

After being bumped to second last week by The Emmy Awards, the reality show's Wednesday episode was the week's most-watched show.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for Aug. 30 to Sept. 5, 2010:

Monday: Big Bang Theory on CTV at 8:30 p.m. had the most viewers with 1.67 million, and two-week winner Lie to Me dropped to fifth most popular show of the night, down to 1.146 million viewers from 1.475 million the previous week.

Tuesday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was the most-watched program of the night for the second straight week with 1.461 million viewers, up from last week’s 1.428 million. America’s Got Talent on Citytv at 9 p.m. took second spot on the night with 1.301 million viewers.

Wednesday: Big Brother 12 on Global at 8 p.m. took the night and the week with 1.969 million viewers. CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was next best on the night with 1.461 million viewers.

Thursday: 1.957 million people tuned in to make Big Brother 12 at 8 p.m. the night’s winner. Big Bang Theory on CTV at 8 p.m. and Rookie Blue on Global at 9 p.m. took second and third with 1.625 million and 1.547 million viewers, respectively.

Friday: Flashpoint on CTV at 10 p.m. had 1.508 million viewers, regaining the night’s top spot after slumping to 876,000 viewers the previous week.

Saturday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. had 1.398 million viewers, enough to bump CTV National News at 11 p.m. down to second spot with 1.152 million viewers.

Sunday: After being bumped by The Emmy Awards last week, Big Brother 12 at 8 p.m. on Global returned to its perch as the night’s top show with 1.718 million viewers.
