MacLaren McCann takes top honours at Extra Awards

Rethink nabs second biggest haul at the Canadian Newspaper Association's annual awards.

Announced today, the Canadian Newspaper Association (CNA) awards celebrating the best newspaper advertising – on and offline – saw the agency take the top prize as well as two gold awards for its ‘Word/Sudoku/Crossword’ campaign on behalf of MasterCard. Rethink also came away with some hardware, nabbing three gold awards for its ‘Kitchen,’ ‘Living’ and ‘Bathroom’ executions for Orkin.

Other agencies that took home gold include LG2, which won two for its ‘Condoms’ execution, part of a campaign for the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, and Cossette, which claimed two for its ‘Commuter Glove’ execution for Eye Weekly. Lowe Roche also struck gold for its ‘100 Years’ insert for Audi Canada.
