Global Television has sustained the first casualty of the fall TV season: Fox has cancelled the critically applauded Lonestar on Monday nights at 9 p.m. after two poorly watched episodes stateside.
After a number of rookie and returning US series enjoyed impressive ratings out of the gates last week, with no local Canuck shows making the top-15 table, now comes reality for Canadian networks.
Those expensive US series can, and often do, fail.
Global Television said it will follow Fox’s lead and air a simulcast of Lie to Me in the Monday night 9 p.m. slot from next week.
