Jamie’s back on American soil, this time searching for delicious, authentic food on a cross-country road trip.
Jamie’s American Road Trip is a new six-part series from the famous British chef, whose last series, Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, also took place in the US. The new series, which starts Thursday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m., will follow the chef as he travels from city to city experiencing the local cuisine.
Food Network Canada has been promoting Road Trip all month with a 30-second spot, but the marquee promotional push for the show will be at the Art of Cooking event in Toronto on Nov. 18, where Oliver himself will be making an appearance. The channel is giving away tickets to the event in a contest that asks fans to answer a question about an obscure Oliver fact. Food Network Canada is a presenting sponsor of the event. Oliver will also be promoting his new book, Jamie’s America, at the event.
The show will also be streamed online at Foodnetwork.ca after its broadcast timeslot.
‘Jamie has once again brought us a sensational new program, true to his candid and charming character and rich in culture, emotion and mouth-watering food experiences,’ Emily Morgan, VP content, Food Network, HGTV and DIY Network, Canwest, said in a release. ‘Bringing entertaining and thought-provoking content to our viewers, his series always hit a homerun.’
