Shaw Communications has moved up its previously announced management changes so that they will become effective as of today.

Brad Shaw has become CEO of the company, while Jim Shaw (pictured) will continue as non-exec vice chair and a member of the board. Peter Bissonnette will continue as president and also serve as a member of the board.

‘We are well underway in the integration of the Shaw Media assets,’ observed Jim Shaw in a statement. ‘It became clear to Brad and I that it would be best for [him] to assume the role of CEO immediately so that he can move forward with the necessary decisions.’
