Another day, another record for TSN’s CFL numbers.
The Western Final, which saw Saskatchewan beat hometown Calgary, recorded an average audience of 2.54 million viewers (BBM, 2+).
The Sunday afternoon game peaked at 3.8 million views late in the fourth quarter, with an additional 233,000 watching the game in French on RDS.
In the Toronto-Montreal game earlier that day, 1.7 million viewers – 1.2 million on TSN and another 599,000 on RDS – tuned in to see the Alouettes defeat the Argos.
TSN and RDS will show the 98th Grey Cup live from Edmonton on Sunday, Nov. 28, in a repeat of last year’s final. In that game, Montreal squeaked by Saskatchewan, 28-27, in a show-down that attracted 6.1 million viewers, the most-watched final in Grey Cup history.
