Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for Dec. 20 to 26, 2010:
Monday: As usual, the holidays shook up the usual ratings rankings, and CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was the most-watched show every night of the week, with an average viewership of 1.609 million viewers, less than the previous week’s 1.623 million viewers.
Tuesday: Jeopardy at 7:30 p.m. was in second place on Dec. 21, winning 1.262 million viewers. The previous Tuesday’s top show, NCIS: LA, was fifth on the night with 1.095 million viewers.
Wednesday: Second to CTV Evening News was Human Target, on CTV at 8 p.m., with 1.574 million viewers.
Thursday: Thursday mirrored Tuesday with CTV Evening News winning the night and Jeopardy taking second. CTV National News at 11 p.m. was third with 1.201 million viewers.
Friday: Exactly the same as Thursday, CTV Evening News, Jeopardy and CTV National News took the top three spots, followed by Wheel of Fortune on CBC at 7 p.m. with 1.055 million viewers.
Saturday: CTV National News at 11 p.m. won Christmas night with 1.201 million viewers. Second on the night was the CTV Saturday Movie presentation of Transformers.
Sunday: The day and the week’s winner was the Boxing Day tournament opener of the IIHF World Junior Championship. The traditional Canada-Russia match-up at 4 p.m. had 2.944 million viewers.
