Globe votes for new political newsletter

The daily newspaper has launched a new email-based publication with exclusive and geo-targeted ad opps.

The Globe and Mail is more closely targeting its politics readers with a new e-newsletter delivering the goods right to their inboxes.

Globe Politics, launched Wednesday, includes a selection of curated political content including the top stories of the day; political reports from Globe bureaus in BC, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada; commentary and columnists; and international political news.

It will be distributed every weekday morning and a mobile version is in the works, a release on the announcement said.

Advertising opps in Globe Politics include a big box ad individual to each deployment of the newsletter, unique to one advertiser. The ad can be geo-targeted per region as well.

The Globe and Mail will be promoting the new e-newsletter via its own media properties, including print, online and through its editorial.
