Haliburton Broadcasting Group adds two radio stations

The newly-acquired stations, in Niagara Falls and Fort Erie, bring the number of radio properties owned by Haliburton to 20.

The CRTC has approved the purchase of CFLZ-FM Niagara Falls and CKEY-FM Fort Erie by the Haliburton Broadcasting Group Inc., from the Niagara Radio Group Inc.

HBG’s acquisition of CFLZ-FM Niagara Falls station adds to the company’s coverage of the upscale tourism market, said Haliburton Broadcasting Group Inc. president and CEO Christopher Grossman. The company also owns and operates CKJN Caledonia/Haldimand County and CJCS-AM and CHGK-FM in Stratford.

Yesterday’s addition of two stations brings the number of radio stations owned and operated by HPG throughout Ontario to 20.
