Hockey takes a final sweep: BBM Canada, June 13 to 19, 2011

The Stanley Cup Finals sat at #1 with a staggering 7.648 million viewers, while post- and pre-game programming came in second and third for the week.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for June 13 to 19, 2011:

Monday: Keeping Canadians on the edge, the second last game of the Stanley Cup Finals on CBC at 8:15 p.m. came in at #1 with 7.648 million viewers for the night and week. H.N.I.C Pre Playoff on CBC at 7:30 p.m. sat in the #2 spot with 2.421 million viewers.

Tuesday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. rose to the top spot for the evening with 1.432 million viewers, while America’s Got Talent on CitytV at 8 p.m. came in close behind with 1.425 million viewers.

Wednesday: Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals on CBC at 8:15 p.m. sat in the top seat with 7.648 million viewers watching the end of the hockey rivalry. NHL Playoff Postgame on CBC at 10:45 p.m. came in at #2 with a considerable 4.291 million viewers.

Thursday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was the most-watched program for the night with 1.432 million viewers. C.S.I on CTV at 9:01 p.m. came in close behind with 1.381 million viewers.

Friday: Taking its third win for the week, CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. came in at #1 for the night with 1.432 million viewers, while crime drama series C.S.I New York on CTV at 9 p.m. sat in the #2 spot with 1.321 million viewers.

Saturday: CTV National News at 11 p.m. sat in the #1 position for the evening with 1.164 million viewers, while CTV Evening News Weekend at 6 p.m. came in behind with 909,000 viewers.

Sunday: CTV National News on CTV at 11 p.m. took its second win for the week with 1.164 million viewers. Canadians went gaga for the 2011 MMVAs on MuchMusic at 9 p.m., which sat in the #2 spot for the evening with 1.009 million viewers and was the most watched broadcast in MuchMusic history.
