Gorilla Nation grows French demo

The media company grows its Quebec audience by repping French news and entertainment source Le Figaro.

Gorilla Nation Media is expanding its reach in Canada’s French market by signing on as the exclusive Canadian ad inventory representative of France-based online news and entertainment source, Le Figaro Medias. The group of sites brought in over 550,000 unique Canadian visitors in May, according to AT Internet ratings.

The partnership adds three online properties to Gorilla Nation’s newly-hatched French-Canadian portfolio, East Coast director of sales Jean-Sebastion Tremblay tells MiC.

The properties gained are news site Lefigaro.fr, women’s lifestyle site Madame.lefigaro.fr and arts and entertainment site Evene.fr.

All the new sites are targeting an audience demographic of readers aged 25 to 54 from high-income households, says Tremblay.

Advertising options on the site will range from IAB units, pre-roll and in-stream video opportunities, and a range of page takeover options.

Tremblay adds that there will also be options for brands to advertise via Le Figaro’s mobile and tablet-based apps.
