Will Dixon has joined the Saskatchewan pubcaster SCN as its new program manager.
His remit will include working with producers from the proposal stage until September 12, when the station unveils its new schedule, which is said to combine educational and cultural programming with popular commercial television.
Dixon comes to the educational channel with more than 20 years of experience in film and TV production, including producing, writing, directing and story editing.
He’s also taught Media Studies and Production at the University of Regina, as well as served as a writer in residence for SaskFilm and the creative development representative in the province for Super Channel.
Bluepoint Investments acquired SCN from the provincial government last year for $700,000.
