Rogers Communications has launched Sportsnews, a promotional and information channel available to Rogers Cable customers in Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Featuring information on the sports events available on Rogers channels, as well as sports statistics for fanatics, it’s available on channel 999 starting today.

Anthony Antonelli, senior director, sports and on-demand services at Rogers Communications, tells MiC the service is available in six regions (the GTA, Kitchener-Waterloo, Ottawa and London in Ontario, as well as New Brunswick and Newfoundland in Atlantic Canada) and offers opportunities for local advertisers to get on TV.
