Rogers Publishing has beefed up its health category with the acquisition of Canadian Health & Lifestyle magazine.
The title, which had been published independently by Joe Viecili, was launched in 2004 and distributed four times per year. The current staff will continue to operate the magazine and move to Rogers Publishing’s offices in Toronto, according to a release.
“Canadian Health and Lifestyle solidifies our presence in the women’s consumer category and provides the potential for numerous product plays/extensions within a targeted health focus,” Lorraine Hoefler, executive publisher, Rogers Publishing, tells MiC.
The magazine is distributed mainly through Rexall pharmacies and has a circulation of nearly 400,000, according to PMB.
