Carat Canada has named Tankut Karahan as its president, effective immediately.

Karahan comes to the Aegis Media agency from his most recent role as VP and general manager of MacLaren McCann Canada, a role he held since April 2012.

In his new role at Carat Canada, Karahan will be responsible for driving strategy and growth in the areas of product offering and innovation, according to a release. He will report to Aegis Media Canada president Annette Warring and also work closely with Carat Montreal president Ody Giroux.
