Survivor starts strong for season 30

The show had two million viewers on Wednesday night, besting last fall's start to season 29.

Survivor marked the start of its 30th season on Wednesday night, bringing in two million viewers to the premiere on Global Television.

The show had 925,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 year-old demo. Overall, the season 30 premiere was 6% higher than the fall 2014 start of the 29th season, and 10% higher for adults 25 to 54.

According to the show’s description, the tribes will be broken up by class, with blue collar, white collar and “no collar” contestants battling for the $1 million final prize.
