Tim Hortons and McDonald’s are the most active TV advertisers in Canada for yet another week, according to media monitoring data from AdEase for July 24 to 30.
Tim Hortons put the bulk of its TV buy behind two new campaigns: one for its Sparkling Quenchers drink, and another for its latest breakfast sandwich. McDonald’s continued to have several different ads in market, but the most support went to a campaign for the Big Mac.
CIBC was the third-most active TV advertiser after launching a new campaign for its Smart Account. That bumped Leon’s to fourth, but sister store The Brick was the week’s biggest gainer, moving into tenth. Both retailers are running ads promoting their latest sales events.
QSRs were once again the most active advertiser category nationally, with nearly three times as many ads as furniture stores. Aside from Tims and McDonald’s, there were also significant buys from A&W, Subway, Wendy’s and Dairy Queen in certain markets.
