The top TV advertiser in Canada might be the same, according to media monitoring data from AdEase for the week of Aug. 14 to 20, but there are some new campaigns in the mix.
Once again at the top of the list, McDonald’s biggest support continued to be behind its summer drink promotions, though it also continued to run spots for the Big Mac and began running ads as part of a new global campaign focused on the QSR’s various cameos in pop culture.
Amazon jumped to the second spot as it continues to promote itself as a destination for back-to-school shopping. Tim Hortons moved back up the list to third with a recently launched campaign for its new credit card.
Categorically, QSRs were once again the most active group of advertisers, followed by TV and streaming services.
