Paramount+ is rolling out its premium and ad tiers in Canada and other select markets, starting this November.
The streamer announced Monday (Oct. 23) that its premium plan will be available to users in Canada for $13.99 and launch on Nov. 16, along with Australia, Brazil and Mexico. The plan will give users access to the streamer’s roster of content in 4K UHD, HDR10, and Dolby Vision and also the option of four concurrent streams instead of the two that come with the standard plan, according to a news release.
The premium plan will be available on the streamer’s app on Apple iOS, Apple tvOS, Amazon Fire, Google, Roku, and Samsung at launch. It will also be available on LG, VIDAA/ Hisense, Xbox, and Amazon’s Prime Video in 2024.
The advertising tier will launch in Canada and Australia in 2024.
Marco Nobili, EVP and international general manager at Paramount+, said in a statement that the plans give Paramount “the ability to better serve different consumer segments by providing multiple pricing options while also tapping into tremendous opportunities among our advertising and brand partners.”
Paramount+’s slate of originals include series such as Tulsa King (pictured), Yellowstone, and upcoming limited series Fellow Travelers and The Curse. Its library of content includes CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and NCIS, Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, Comedy Central’s South Park, and MTV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, among others.
