Spence Diamonds remained the most active radio advertiser, according to AdEase’s report for the week of Feb 3 to 9.
The jeweler ran 5,717 combined occurrences, ranking first in Vancouver and Edmonton, second in Calgary, fourth in Ottawa, and fifth in Toronto. It recorded 4,260 total occurrences the previous radio buying week.
With 4,648 total appearances, Tim Hortons was the second most active advertiser, increasing its radio buy compared to last week. It was followed by Desjardins Group (4,161 occurrences), Metro (3,564 occurrences) and Wealthsimple Financial (3,130occurrences), all of which increased their spend over the last week.
Among the advertisers that moved up most in the overall list were MSC Cruises, which climbed 306 and 221 positions in Vancouver and Toronto, respectively; Governmnet of Alberta, which rose 337 places in Edmonton; and Tim Hortons, which increased 277 and 178 spots in Ottawa and Montreal, respectively. Motorcycle event Expomoto also moved up significantly in Quebec (119 positions).
Category-wise, QSRs, lottery draws, grocery stores and supermarkets, and dine-in restaurants and bars were the top spending groups.
