Hit U.K. television format The Great British Bake Off is headed to CBC this fall.

The Great Canadian Baking Show will pit 10 amateur bakers from across the country against one another in a series of culinary challenges.

To introduce domestic audiences to the format, CBC will air the British version of the series over the summer. Filming on the series will begin in the middle of May and shooting locations are still to be determined. Casting for the first season of the Canadian series is now underway, though CBC has not yet announced the identity of the host for the series.

The competition-based cooking space is filling up fast in Canada, with Gusto last month adding two British cooking series to its winter lineup: Britain’s Best Bakery and Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club.
