Survivor edges out CSI

Big Bang Theory also makes an impressive impact.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM, for March 29 to April 4, 2010.

Monday: CTV’s Big Bang Theory at 9:31 p.m. showed science and laughs to be more of an audience attraction to kick off the workweek for 2.081 million viewers than Dancing With The Stars’, which pulled in 1.887 million viewers. (Dancing With The Stars attracted 2.058 million viewers the previous week.)

Tuesday: American Idol on CTV hit the right chord again for the 2.258 million viewers who tuned in to the 8 p.m. two-hour show. (American Idol also won last week with 2.896 million viewers.)

Wednesday: The American Idol results show on CTV at 9 p.m. totalled 2.355 million viewers as the finalists were trimmed down to nine. (Survivor: Heroes & Villains results show won Wednesday last week with 2.646 million viewers).

Thursday: Survivor:Heroes & Villains on Global at 9 p.m. found 2.642 million viewers, edging out overall second-place finisher CSI‘s 2.552 million viewers. (Grey’s Anatomy won the week prior with 2.796 million viewers.)

Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. won the Friday slot with 1.494 million viewers. (CTV Evening News also won last Friday night with 1.610 million viewers.)

Saturday: Hockey Night In Canada Game #1 on CBC at 7:07 p.m. scored another victory with this time slot, netting 1.694 million viewers with the playoffs just a few weeks away. (It won last week as well with 2.116 million viewers.)

Sunday: Amazing Race 16 on CTV at 8 p.m. returned to the top Sunday night with 2.081 million viewers. (The show also won Sunday prime time last week, with 2.470 million viewers.)
