Vancouver-based Tagga Media has been enlisted to ‘mobilify’ Canpages.
The local search and directories publisher, which is headquartered in Vancouver, has tasked Tagga to build mobile optimized websites for Canpages advertisers. The sites will be included as part of the searchco’s selected advertising programs, or sold independently.
Tagga’s mobile website builder provides templates and guidelines that enable the creation of relevant websites, and Canpages is also offering design assistance, expert advice and occasional website refreshes as part of its new mobile offering. The services will be available April 1.
‘Mobile search provides even more opportunities for businesses looking to target locally,’ says Amielle Lake, CEO, Tagga Media.
Tagga’s relationship with Canpages follows a partnership with Hearst Media Services in the US to incorporate mobile-optimized websites and SMS marketing into its sales offering across its numerous publications, such as the Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and the San Francisco Chronicle.
