House climbs back to the top

Survivor: Heroes and Villains beats Grey's Anatomy on Thursday with 2.772 million viewers, the second-most popular for the week, while CSI New York ousts Idol on Wednesday night.

Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM Canada, for March 8 to March 14, 2010.

Monday: House on Global at 8 p.m. returns with to the top with 2.866 million viewers as the highest-rated program of the week. (Big Bang Theory on CTV attracted 2.376 million viewers as the top program the previous week.)

Tuesday: NCIS on Global at 8 p.m. had the biggest audience for the night with 2.359 million viewers. (NCIS was also most popular the previous week with 2.406 million viewers.)

Wednesday: CSI New York on CTV at 10 p.m. displaces Idol as the top program on Wednesday night with 2.655 million viewers. (American Idol on CTV aired to 2.624 million viewers the previous week.)

Thursday: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains almost makes it to the top of the weekly rankings, but stops just short with 2.772 million viewers tuning in at 8 p.m., leaving it in second place behind House for the week. (Heroes vs. Villains, which brings back some of the series’ favourite personalities, had 2.869 million viewers the previous week.)

Friday: CTV Evening News remains the highest-rated news program in the country, and the top program for Friday night with 1.680 million viewers. (CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was most-watched the previous week with 1.750 million viewers.)

Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada Game #1 on CBC at 7 p.m. was the top program of the night with 2.168 million viewers. (HNIC Game #1 attracted 1.812 million viewers last weekend.)

Sunday: Amazing Race on CTV at 8 p.m. takes back the top spot on Sunday night with 2.530 million viewers. (The Academy Awards on CTV was the most-watched program the previous week with 5.889 million viewers.)
