Here are the top-ranked shows in Canada (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM Canada, for March 1 to March 7, 2010.
Olympic prime time scored big with viewers the previous week and was on top for every day except Sunday, when the men’s gold medal hockey game swept the nation.
Monday: Big Bang Theory on CTV at 9:30 p.m. attracted 2.376 million viewers as the top program of the night.
Tuesday: NCIS on Global at 8 p.m. was most popular with 2.406 million viewers.
Wednesday: American Idol on CTV at 8 p.m. aired to 2.624 million viewers as the singers were narrowed down to the top 10.
Thursday: Survivor Heroes vs. Villains brought back some of the series’ favourite personalities, which has proved to be a ratings hit as the show attracted 2.869 million on Global at 8 p.m.
Friday: CTV Evening News at 6 p.m. was most-watched with 1.750 million viewers.
Saturday: Hockey Night in Canada Game #1 on CBC at 7 p.m. attracted 1.812 million viewers on the weekend.
Sunday: The Academy Awards brought the Avatar vs. The Hurt Locker showdown to about 5.889 million viewers as the most-watched program of the week. The red carpet pre-show was in second place with 3.678 million viewers.
