CBC News Now viewers are about to get more face time with Carole MacNeil.
Beginning March 1, the MacNeil-hosted news show is being extended by 30 minutes and will now run from 2 to 5 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday. The program will now also include a segment from CBC business correspondent Amanda Lang, who will recap the day’s top business stories at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Evan Solomon’s Power & Politics continues in its 5 to 7 p.m. ET timeslot, but The Lang & O’Leary Exchange expands from 30 mins to a full hour (7 to 8 p.m.), bumping Connect with Mark Kelley up to 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET.
‘Viewer feedback to the new CBC News Network has been extremely positive,’ said Jennifer McGuire, GM and editor-in-chief, CBC News, in a release. ‘These changes will build on this momentum.’
The National will continue in its timeslots at 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on CBC News Network, and at 10 p.m. on CBC-TV.
