Futuresign and Sport Media Marketing form joint venture

The partnership will provide single-source access to more than 600 community sport facilities across North America.

Toronto-based Futuresign Multimedia Displays and Montreal’s Sport Media Marketing have formed a new partnership to provide harmonized pricing, strategy, expertise and campaign management across more than 600 arena and community sports facilities across the country.

The new joint venture will offer one of the largest digital and static advertising networks available in Canada, as well as access to new markets in the U.S., accessible through a single, united source. Static and digital advertising is available on rink boards, arena kiosks, Zamboni wraps and wall signs, in addition to custom branding opportunities.

Stuart Smith, founding partner of Futuresign, says the available venues are ideal for clients looking to reach affluent families and the 18- to 35-year-old demographic.

“The multi-function arenas and sport complexes in our network offer an untapped advertising and sponsorship resource that we are now uniquely positioned to leverage to the fullest,” he adds.

Toronto-based Futuresign has longstanding partnerships with 50 municipalities in Ontario and exclusive third-party ad rights in over 200 arenas and community centres, including a digital dynamic signage network of more than 200 displays.

Sport Media Marketing of Montreal has a network of more than 1500 arenas across the country, including 250 in Quebec. The venues include arenas, sports complexes, indoor soccer fields, digital screens and association websites. In addition to signage, it offers sports association sponsorships.
