Toronto-based analytics company AdEase Media Intelligence is launching a new mobile app that allows advertisers to track active TV and radio campaigns.
Spotlite provides data on advertising campaigns that have been launched in the last seven days, as well as those that have been active in the market for several months. The app, which is updated every 12 hours, informs users about the types of programs where the ads are most frequently aired, their first and last air dates, and the percentage of ads that run during primetime. Users can categorize campaigns by industry, company and brand, as well as set up alerts to be notified of new ads from specific brands.
The app’s library contains over 9,000 campaigns spanning more than 140 categories, including Automotive Dealerships, Body & Skin Care, and Food & Beverage Stores. Almost 1,100 of these campaigns were launched this year.
AdEase chief business development officer Sonja Chilcott says the app’s data can enable brands to understand market trends, as well as how their competitors are performing. “As a mobile app, Spotlite places critical data directly in the user’s hands, enabling advertisers to remain continuously updated on their competitors’ ad campaigns. This level of immediacy is key in gaining a competitive edge, allowing for the swift adaptation to market trends and strategies. It empowers advertisers to develop campaigns that are not only effective but also highly responsive to the dynamic advertising landscape,” she says.
AdEase Media Intelligence’s parentco, Adease Media Research, is launching the app now to fill a gap in the market, according to Chilcott. “The launch of Spotlite is a strategic response to a clear need within the advertising industry for a simpler, more accessible tool to stay informed and competitive,” she says.
