Canada’s Young Lions jury revealed

Susan Courtney of Starcom and Terry Horton of Cossette are two of the nine judges evaluating this year’s Media category submissions and Cannes hopefuls.

The Globe and Mail has revealed who will evaluate this year’s Canada’s Young Lions submissions for the Print, Film/Cyber and Media categories. The critics, who are ad industry veterans from across Canada, will be responsible for choosing eight young media stars who will then present their work at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Lauren Richards, CEO, Media Experts and the Globe‘s Young Lions jury president, will moderate the nine-person Media jury. Those on the panel include Terry Horton, VP, media director, Cossette Media; Susan Courtney, VP, group media director, Starcom; Shelley Smit, EVP, managing director UM; Ann Stewart, GM managing director, Excelerator Media; Judy Goddard, senior media advisor, Denneboom; Isabel Gingras, SVP, managing director, MPG Canada; Karena Phidd, group director of strategy, OMD Canada; Zoryana Loboyko, VP, client services director, PHD; and Tracy Bellamy, managing partner, MEC, Toronto.

On the Print jury, which will be moderated by jury president and MiC executive editor Mary Maddever, are Ian MacKellar, creative director, Bensimon Byrne and Angus Tucker, co-creative director and founding partner, among others.

This year’s Film and Cyber jury, also moderated by Maddever, includes Jordan Doucette, creative director, Taxi Canada and Heather Chambers, creative director, Leo Burnett.
