What’s more fun than finding free money?
That’s the question Veeva, a maker of natural supplements, is asking Torontonians today with a unique promotional campaign to support the launch of its product.
The company has hidden $5,000 worth of real $5 bills around downtown Toronto, each affixed with a speech bubble directing the finder to MakeLifeBrighter.ca. When the finder visits the URL, they are asked to enter the bill’s serial number on the website, which will generate a $1 donation to charitable organization Dixon Hall.
Veeva will donate another dollar if the finder ‘likes’ the Veeva Facebook page, and will continue to donate $1 to Dixon Hall each time the serial number is logged on the website after the $5 re-enters circulation.
‘We’re hoping to equate the great feeling of finding money to a more lasting feel-good solution that keeps on giving,’ said Alain Roy, president, Veeva, in a release. ‘Happiness doesn’t come in a pill – but when there is less stress, you have more time to focus on your happiness!’
