Rogers Media’s CityNews has just launched an interactive alternative to online weather reports on CityNews.ca.
The site’s new Weather Webcast feature provides access to broadcast-quality images as well as interaction via email with CityNews personalities Michael Kuss, Frank Ferragine, Adam Stiles and Sangita Patel.
Visitors who click on the Weather Webcast icon get up-to-date custom video microcasts, can regularly track weather patterns, get daily and weekly forecasts, as well as updates throughout the day.
The site, which gets 1.2 million uniques a month according to Omniture data, offers customizable advertising, including pre-roll, on-air promos, webcaster button and webplayer branding, as well as in-webcast mentions.
