Veet bids Bush farewell

Cheeky ad appearing this weekend in leading Canadian dailies sends George off with a wink and a nod.

Expect to see some smooth advertising for Reckitt Benckiser’s Veet depilatory brand this weekend. The Toronto-based consumer packaged goods giant is running a cheeky print ad in tomorrow’s Toronto Star and Montreal Gazette bidding the outgoing president farewell.

Toronto-based Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG, who developed the ‘Goodbye Bush’ ad, with media buys handled by Toronto-based MPG, chose the timely positioning of the week’s presidential transition to come out with the global campaign aimed at raising awareness for the brand.

The ad, which has already run in Australia and the UK, stops in Canada this weekend, and will continue to run in a number of countries over the next few weeks.
