Getting up in the morning just got a little easier for sports fans. Score Media launched Score in the Morning this week, hosted by popular Score personality Nikki Reyes and veteran reporter/host Adnan Virk.
The show airs live weekday mornings from 7 am until noon, getting viewers ready for the day with sports news and press conferences as well as book and movie reviews, celebrity guests and training and tailgating tips.
‘The best part is that it’s live in the mornings, unlike other sports shows,’ VP programming Greg Sansone tells MiC. ‘We have the ability to not only show you what happened last night, but put it into context the next morning.’
Shot live in The Score’s new HD plasma-clad streetfront studio and targeting the 18-49 male sports fan, Score in the Morning lends itself to flexible ad ops. ‘The new studio is very conducive to creative opportunities,’ Sanone tells MiC. ‘And we’re open to working with advertisers.’ One example is the show’s current ‘XBOX Extravaganza’ contest, which gives away an XBOX every hour, every weekday – up to 199 – to celebrate its new lower price.
The program is also broadcast on Sirius Satellite Radio (channel 98).
