▪ MuchMoreMusic will be introducing I Want to Work for Diddy as an exclusive series on its MuchMoreSundays. Premiering Aug. 24 at 6 pm ET, the series follows 13 finalists vying to become an assistant to music mogul Sean Combs.
Brooke Knows Best tracks the 19-year-old daughter (pictured) of wrestler Hulk Hogan as she strikes out on her own to begin an adult life without rules and without Dad. The show debuts on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 8 pm ET.
In October, another new reality series will premiere on the network. Luke’s Parental Advisory follows Luther ‘Luke’ Campbell, former frontman for the hip-hop group 2 Live Crew, as he engages in his day-to-day adventures as a father, CEO and fiancé.
Party of Five, a fan favourite in the ’90s which launched the careers of Matthew Fox (Lost) and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer), is set to begin on MuchMoreMusic on Monday, Aug. 25 at 11 pm ET. Fans will again be able to follow along with the Salinger family as they grow into adulthood without parents.
Premiering on Monday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 pm ET is Revival, a new series hosted by fashionista Tracy Melchor (Style VIP ) that will transport viewers back in time to relive decades past and join a cast of stars who defined their times. Viewers can also catch the premiere of Where You At, Baby?! on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at 7:30 pm ET, which will hunt down music megastars of the ’80s and ’90s to engage them in unconventional interviews.
Gene Simmons Family Jewels returns to MuchMoreMusic with its third season premiering on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 8 pm ET. And so does Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which will kick off its second season in October.
▪ On MuchMusic, Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods is set to premiere on August 24 at 8 pm ET. Hosted by Haylie Duff (Seventh Heaven, the reality show will follow 10 young women competing to play Reese Witherspoon’s character from the Legally Blonde movies on Broadway.
On Thursday, Aug. 28, disband will debut at 6:30 pm ET. The new reality series features unsigned bands performing in front of industry professionals after they’ve gone through MuchMusic rock star training.
The channel is also set to air So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Based on the award-winning American series and hosted by MuchMusic’s Leah Miller, the show will premiere in the fall and feature a variety of special guest judges.
Greek, a new drama about college life, will debut on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 9 pm ET. Viewers will be able to follow along as the cast of characters try to navigate through the social terrain of the fraternity system at Cyprus-Rhodes University.
We’re Experiencing Technical Difficulties, premiering on Tuesday, Aug. 26, is a new series that will give viewers the chance to see what would happen if MuchMusic’s satellite broke down and Much was forced to broadcast anything and everything. The show will feature a mix of comedy, sketches, animation and fake interviews in an unconventional format.
MuchMusic’s Hot & Wet is set to return with Hot and Wet 2008 on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 6:30 pm ET. Hosted by VJs Sarah Taylor and Tim Deegan, the series will take viewers to the beach and feature hit videos.
Also returning to MuchMusic is Video on Trial, which kicks off a new season on Monday, Sep. 8. It will feature critiques by pundits who deconstruct and analyze videos from today’s biggest music stars.
