Global gains two victories

Global's House stepped over CTV's Grey's Anatomy (and the Stanley Cup finals) on this week's chart. More surprisingly, Global's Bones, airing in the same time slot as CTV's Dancing with the Stars, crept in for a tight win.

Here are the national winners (for all persons 2+; all times ET), according to BBM/Nielsen, for May 19-25.

News and daily shows: CTV Evening News at 6 pm hit #12 with an average minute audience of 1.366 million viewers (up from 1.231 million on the previous week’s national chart). The net’s Jeopardy/Access Hollywood at 7:30 pm took #20 with 982,000 (up from 973,000) for its Tuesday and Friday airings, while CTV National News at 11 pm took #22 with 923,000 (up from 874,000). Global’s The Young & The Restless at 4:30 pm hit #23 with 875,000 (up from 813,000). CTV’s Dr. Phil at 5 pm took #26 with 834,000 viewers. Global’s News Hour at 6 pm hit #27 with 799,000, while Global National at 5:30 pm took #29 with 772,000 (up from 760,000).

Monday: Global’s House at 9 pm won the night, hitting #3 with 2.688 million (up from 2.296 million). CTV’s CSI: Miami at 10 pm took #5 with 2.135 million (up from 1.85 million). Global’s Bones at 8 pm hit #9 with 1.888 million (up from 1.479 million) against CTV’s Dancing with the Stars, which took #10 with 1.814 million (up from 1.598 million). CTV’s Two and a Half Men at 9 pm hit #16 with 1.158 million. The CBC’s NHL playoffs round three, airing 8-10:38 pm, took #19 with 1.028 million viewers.

Tuesday: CTV’s American Idol at 8 pm stayed at #2 with 3.073 million (up from 2.472 million). The net’s Dancing with the Stars at 9 pm took #8 with 2.006 million (up from 1.833 million). Global’s NCIS at 8 pm hit #11 with 1.443 million (down from 1.453 million), while Shark at 10 pm took #28 with 794,000 viewers (down from 815,000).

Wednesday: CTV’s American Idol, airing 8-10:06 pm, stayed at #1 with 3.103 million viewers (up from 2.585 million). The net’s CSI: New York hit #7 with 2.05 million in the 10 pm time slot (up from 2.049 million), while Criminal Minds at 7 pm took #13 with 1.281 million (down from 1.445 million). Global’s 8 pm movie took #21 with 935,000 viewers.

Thursday: CTV’s Grey’s Anatomy at 9 pm fell to #4 with 2.608 million viewers (up from 2.331 million). The net’s So You Think You Can Dance, airing 7-9 pm, hit #15 with 1.162 million viewers. Global’s Deal or No Deal, airing 8-9:30 pm, took #17 with 1.154 million.

Friday: Global’s 8 pm movie took #21 with 935,000 viewers. The net’s Numb3rs at 10 pm hit #30 with 757,000 (down from 1.046 million).

Saturday: CBC’s Stanley Cup Finals, airing 8-10:51 pm, hit #6 with 2.11 million viewers. The postgame at 10:51 pm took #14 with 1.24 million. The Cup pre-game at 7:30 pm took #24 with 867,000. CTV’s evening news weekend programming for Saturday and Sunday took 25 with an average of 844,000 viewers (up from 762,000).

Sunday: CTV’s Law & Order: SVU was the only show to make the chart, hitting #18 with 1.124 million viewers.
