Cynthia Fleming is Carat Toronto’s new chief operating officer. Formerly EVP there, she joined Carat in 2004 from Media Experts.

In other promotions announced this week by parent company Aegis Media Canada, Patricia Heckmann, former EVP at Carat Montreal, is now the agency’s COO. She joined the organization in 1993 after working within the Interpublic group.

In Toronto, Annette Warring has been promoted from president of Genesis to COO of Genesis Vizeum. Prior to joining Genesis in 2005, Warring was EVP/MD at MPG/maxxmedia.

Daren Trousdell, founder and former owner of Mindblossom, before Aegis Media purchased the Toronto agency in 2007, was named COO.

At Vizeum Montreal, former strategic director Marc Hamelin has been promoted to the position of managing director. He has been with Carat for more than a decade, and is credited with spearheading Vizeum’s growth.
