Sage joins Postmedia

Former Rogers Digital Media exec Jennifer Sage has been named VP of sales at the publisher.

It may be 2011, but it looks like 2010’s executive shakeup at the big mediacos continues this year with the announcement that Jennifer Sage will be joining the Postmedia executive team.

Sage has been named VP of digital sales at the publishing company, which includes the National Post, 10 major-market dailies, over 20 community newspapers and websites such as Dose.ca.

Formerly, Sage was senior director of sales at Rogers Digital Media, and has also held positions at Rogers Publishing and St. Joseph Media.

‘Jennifer will play a key role in delivering on our digital-first strategy, aligning print and digital sales teams and growing digital advertising revenues,’ Kirk Allen, EVP, Postmedia Integrated Advertising, said in a release.

Postmedia made a flurry of digital media debuts in December, releasing iPad apps for all of its major-market dailies, a National Post Reader app for iPads and iPhones and a new locally targeted discount website called SwarmJam.com.
