TLN has launched a Spot the Stars watch & win contest with the Toronto Star and Lastman’s Bad Boy stores. Running until February 1, the contest urges viewers to spot featured characters from the series when they appear in a lower-third video insert during the nightly 10 pm broadcasts of The Sopranos on TLN Television. The prize is a family trip to Orlando.
Viewers have to spot the character in the show, fill out a ballot that appears daily in the Star (and at thestar.com/badboy) and then go to one of seven Lastman’s Bad Boy locations.
The contest will be promoted with 10-second billboards and 30-second commercial spots on TLN Television and select TV stations in the Greater Toronto Area, a microsite linked to TLN Television, daily ads and teaser ads in the Star, box card displays on select newspaper boxes, weekly notices in TLN’s eNewsletter and in-store at Lastman’s Bad Boy locations.
TLN kicked off the New Year having reached more than one million viewers for The Sopranos over the past month (NMR, 2007/12/03-2008/01/06, 10p-11p, ranked on A2+).
