History Television will air the first two seasons of the acclaimed Rome series on Mondays at 9 pm ET/PT, beginning Jan. 14th.
Following the fortunes of two soldiers and kicking off in 52 BC, the lavish, albeit blood-drenched, production stretches over 22 episodes. The first four eps will be rebroadcast in a special Rome marathon on Feb. 9.
To get viewers in the mood, History is staging ‘Rome Week’ – a collection of Roman-themed programming that will air each evening this week. Highlights include Engineering an Empire: Rome, Timewatch: Murder in Rome, Ultimate Engineering: Colosseum and Beastly Games.
