Gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual specialty net OUTtv has announced a slew of new shows for its fall programming schedule, including a mix of Canadian original series and international titles, imported for the first time for Canucks.
Series new to OUTtv’s fall sked include:
The Best of The Maggie Cassella Show (Mondays, 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, starting Sept. 10, with repeats at 10:30 pm ET), starring the ex-lawyer, ex-bar owner who also hosts a show on Toronto’s gay radio station, Proud FM;
The Graham Norton Effect – pictured – (Mondays, 7 pm ET/4 pm PT and 12 midnight ET/9 pm PT, starting Sept. 10), featuring the host of the former So Graham Norton show, which aired on Channel 4 in Britain and on PrideVision TV (now OUTtv) in Canada in 2001;
Mile High (Tuesdays, 9 pm ET/6 pm PT and 12 midnight ET/9 pm PT, starting Sept. 18), an airplane drama filmed in London and Spain;
Uomo Mode: Mens Fashion Insider (Tuesdays, 11 pm ET/8 pm PT, starting Sept. 11, with repeats on Saturdays in the same time slots);
Hot Pink Shorts (Thursdays, 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT, starting Sept. 13, with repeats Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT), a half-hour show featuring award-winning short films;
We’re Funny That Way! (Mondays, 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT, starting Sept. 17, with repeats at 11 pm ET/8 pm PT), a best-of show featuring Canada’s Queer Comedy Festival;
Bad Girls (Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the 7 pm Et/5 pm PT time slots, with repeats at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT and 12 midnight ET/9 pm PT), the women’s prison drama that’s been airing on Britain’s ITV since 1999.
Paradise Falls (back-to-back eps on Wednesdays at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT and 9 pm ET/6 pm PT and 12 midnight ET/9 pm PT, with repeats on Fridays at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT and 12 midnight ET/9 pm PT, starting Sept. 12), a sexually charged small-town-with-big-secrets drama; and
Stripsearch (Fridays, 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT, starting Sept. 7, with repeats on Sundays at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT), a series about a male revue entrepreneur who travels Canada in search of every woman’s (or gay man’s) fantasy.
Returning series include: travel show Bump (Tuesdays, 10 pm ET/7 pm PT, starting Sept. 11, with repeats on Saturdays at 10:30 pm ET/7:30 pm PT); Cover Guy (Sundays, 8:30 pm ET/5:30 pm PT, starting Sept. 9, with repeats on Tuesdays at 11:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT); Chris and John’s Road Trip (Mondays, 10 pm ET/7 pm PT, starting Nov. 5, with repeats on Saturdays at 1:30 pm ET/8:30 pm PT), Let’s Shop (Tuesdays, 8 pm ET/5 pm PT, starting Sept. 11, with repeats on Saturdays at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT), Naked News, Queeredge and Oz TV.
